SKF Programs
Published by Sabbath Keepers Fellowship & Prison Ministry for over two decades, this free semi-annual newsletter serves as a voice for SKF, keeping us in touch with those we serve. It also provides thoughtful teachings, news, and uplifting articles about our faith to those who are free and those behind bars. You can view or download past and present editions or join our mailing list on this page.
Our Complete Believer's Calendar is provided to thousands of inmates across the country free of charge each year. It is our way of helping them to properly observe the scriptural festivals with their many associated commandments, and is usually the only means by which they know when to do so. It is also the favorite of many believers who are not in prison, and is certainly the most accurate new crescent calendar of its type on earth.
The SKF Passover Package Program was created in 2011 and is the largest of its type anywhere for those of our faith. It is free and enables Sabbath and festival observant inmates across the USA to keep the most basic scriptural commands concerning Passover while in prison. Over the last few years, SKF has provided over 15,000 Passover packages to many hundreds of prisons across the USA.
Many of the simple things we take for granted every day are only dreams for believers in prison. A study bible, a concordance, supplies to celebrate the Sabbath and festivals, a prayerbook to pray from, and a prayer shawl to pray under, fellowship with others of our faith and support upon release from prison are impossible for prisoners to obtain without help. SKF provides these things and more.
One of the best ways for SKF to help our brothers and sisters in prison is to find people who will write letters or actually go to them in places across the country where we cannot. We provide many kinds of support for those precious men and women who have chosen to serve as our volunteers. If you are interested in becoming one, or already are a volunteer and want SKF support, check out this page.
We not only serve Sabbath-keeping prison inmates and volunteers, but their chaplains, too. Over the years we have developed an excellent working relationship with many prison systems, to their benefit and ours, and we are always looking for new ones to assist. If you are a prison chaplain and need assistance of any kind with your Sabbath-keeping inmates or groups, please give us a call.
Very often when prisoners come to faith and begin keeping the Sabbath and other commandments, their families on the outside just do not understand, and sometimes even reject them. We strive to bridge that gap and to help in most any way we can. If you have a Sabbath-keeping family member or friend who needs help, or if you just want to learn more about their needs and beliefs, contact us.
Facebook, Twitter, e-mail and other social media provide a connection to our freeworld members, volunteers, and the families of inmates across the nation. We use these tools to teach, support and offer weekly live fellowship and assistance to all of those whom we serve.
